Over a basin or console, leave a margin each side rather than matching the width exactly.
It is the sort of detail that only matters once, and only if it is wrong. Every listing on this site carries the figure the supplier gave us for exactly this reason.
Where the number comes from
Glass is the one category where a wrong measurement cannot be worked around. Read these first.
We publish the stated width and height of every mirror in inches as the supplier gives them, and we do not round the figures, because a 30 x 22 inch mirror over a 24 inch basin looks wrong by exactly that margin.
What to measure at your end
Before ordering arched and irregular wall mirrors, take the measurement the product page uses and compare like for like. Where our page is silent on a figure, the supplier did not give it, and we would rather leave the line blank than fill it with an estimate.
